Who can do this course?

All learners applying for this job should be at least 16 years of age, and have a good understanding of written and spoken English. Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as they will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

Learners without a recognised Maths and English qualification at Level 2, including functional skills, will be required to achieve this prior to completion of the certificate.

As a competency-based qualification, it’s important that all those undertaking the Level 5 Diploma are in a role where they already undertake care management duties. However, employers can be flexible by delegating managerial tasks, secondments and other

development opportunities to ensure the full scope of the qualification can be completed.
