It’s especially relevant for those who want to work in roles such as care assistant, support worker, domiciliary carer, or healthcare assistant.

Who can do this course?
This course is open to learners who:
- Are aged 19+
- Live in London
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Are not currently in full-time education
- Are unemployed, self-employed, or earning below the London Living Wage
- Can commit to 14 weeks of part-time learning (8 hours per week)
- Have a genuine interest in working in adult social care

What you will learn

- Person-centred care and professional conduct
- Communication and documentation
- Safeguarding and infection control

How you will learn
You’ll study through a blended learning model:
- 5 hours per week in-person at our Woolwich training centre
- 3 hours per week online, using our digital learning platform
The course runs for 14 weeks and is delivered part-time to fit around your schedule. The Woolwich centre is fully equipped for simulated care training and practical learning.

How You Will Be Assessed
You’ll be assessed through a mix of practical and written tasks:
- Role-plays and scenario-based learning
- Written reflections and short assignments
- Online quizzes
- Mock interviews and employer feedback
- Real-time tutor observations
