SIA Security Officer (Top Up)

The Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry (Top-up) has been developed for learners who currently hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a security officer and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualifications requirements.

£200 (with First Aid included) £175 (If you already have a First Aid qualification)

Minimum age for registration is 16. Note, individuals must be 18 before they can apply for an SIA licence. Learners must be able to communicate effectively in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing). Candidates are Required to Provide: 2 photographic identity documents; at least 1 document must show your current address and at least 1 document must show your date of birth; OR 1 photographic identity document and 2 documents with their current address on it. Please note that proof of address cannot be older than three months. Common Forms of Identity Documents: Signed valid passport of any nationality. Driving licence photo card. UK birth certificate. UK biometric residence permit. Valid EU photo ID card. Current bank or building society statement. Utility bill (gas, electric, telephone, water, satellite, cable). Letter from H.M Revenue & Customs or local authority. Current credit card statement. Separate from this you need to hold a valid First Aid qualification.

You will attend one day of classes at the college. Elements of the training will be completed via self-study. This will include the completion of NACTSO’s ACT Awareness and ACT Security modules.
