SIA Door Supervisor

The Door Supervisor course is a 6-day programme. Throughout the course, you will gain the knowledge and practical skills required to work in the private security industry, including roles as a door supervisor. The course covers key areas such as working in the private security industry, conflict management, and physical intervention.

First Aid Requirement (Included in This Course)

It is now compulsory for all learners to hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate before completing the training required for a Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence.

To make this process simple, we include the Emergency First Aid at Work training within this course at no extra cost. This will be delivered on Day 1 of your training, ensuring you meet all requirements before progressing with the rest of the qualification.

Anyone aged 16 and over can enrol on this course. Learners should also be in good physical condition, as the course includes practical training and assessment in physical intervention techniques. Candidates are Required to Provide: 2 photographic identity documents; at least 1 document must show your current address and at least 1 document must show your date of birth; OR 1 photographic identity document and 2 documents with their current address on it. Please note that proof of address cannot be older than three months. Common Forms of Identity Documents: Signed valid passport of any nationality. Driving licence photo card. UK birth certificate. UK biometric residence permit. Valid EU photo ID card. Current bank or building society statement. Utility bill (gas, electric, telephone, water, satellite, cable). Letter from H.M Revenue & Customs or local authority. Current credit card statement. Separate from this you need to hold a valid First Aid qualification.

The course runs over 6 consecutive days (9am–6pm) and is delivered through a mix of classroom-based teaching, discussion, and practical training. As part of the course, Emergency First Aid at Work training is included for all learners who do not already hold a valid first aid qualification. This is delivered on Day 1 and ensures all SIA mandatory requirements are met before progressing.

On the final day of the course, you will complete 4 externally set and externally marked multiple-choice exams, along with various practical physical assessments. These assessments are designed to test your knowledge and practical skills covered throughout the course.
