Who is this course for?

Aspiring teachers, trainers, and tutors who want to deliver learning in colleges, adult education, work-based training, or community learning.

Fees and funding

Course Fee: £850. Pay in full or pay a £300 deposit and spread the balance through interest-free monthly installments. Advanced Learner Loan available.

Entry requirements

Are 19 years or older. Are new to teaching or training and want to gain a recognised qualification. Are currently delivering or planning to deliver sessions in education or training. Have good written and spoken English communication skills. Have access to learners (or peers) to complete a practical micro-teach session.

How you will learn

The CET is delivered through live online tutor-led classes. Attend 8 live online sessions (2 hours each) with a qualified tutor, twice a month for 4 months.

Assessment

Written assignments based on teaching theory and practice, A practical micro-teach session delivered online or in person, observed by your tutor and peers, A portfolio of evidence including lesson plans, reflective journals, and supporting documents.

Work placement

Have access to learners (or peers) to complete a practical micro-teach session

You will qualify with

  • Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF)
