Who is this course for?

Fees and funding

The cost of the course is £1650 with a deposit of £300, and 0% interest free monthly payments.

Funding

Learners can also apply for the advanced learner loan to cover the cost of tuition. You will only pay this back when you earn over £27,000 annually.

Entry requirements

Anyone over the age of 16. Must have or be working towards a Level 2 in English Functional Skills or equivalent. Learners must also have an advanced DBS check. You will need to have a placement or be working in the primary, secondary, FE sectors, SEN settings or specialist units.

All 16 units are mandatory for the Diploma.

How you will learn

The course duration is 30 weeks. You will attend classes once a week.

Assessment

Assessment is by in-class work, your portfolio, and the results of your observation by the assessor.

Work placement

You will need to have a placement or be working in the primary, secondary, FE sectors, SEN settings or specialist units. We do not mind what year you are in as long as it is classroom based with a qualified teacher. Placements must cover a variety of curriculum subjects, not just English and maths. Private nurseries, before school, after school clubs and midday supervisor roles are not suitable.
