The social care sector employs almost 1.5 million people, heading towards around 2 million by 2030, as the sector continues to grow. There is a great need for carers who want to pursue a rewarding and valued path in social care and through this course you will gain key skills and knowledge necessary to further your personal growth and career caring for vulnerable adults, physically and emotionally.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone looking to advance their career in adult care, or those who wish to work in a lead adult care worker role within the health and social care settings. This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed when working with vulnerable adults.
Fees and funding
The cost of the course is £1,650 with a deposit of £300, if you wish to pay upfront.

Advanced Learner Loan Or you can apply for an advanced learner loan to cover the cost of tuition, which you will only be required to repay once you are earning at least £27,000. Call us to find out if you are eligible. AEB Funding Full Level 3 courses may be free for 19 year olds + who do not already have a full L3 or above qualification. If you live in the Great London Authority and you are unemployed and earn less than £21,157.50 annual gross salary (before any deductions) and can evidence your salary with payslips, you may be eligible for low-income fee remission, depending on the course you are studying. If you live outside the Greater London Authority area, the income threshold is £17,374.50.

Entry requirements
All learners applying for this job should be at least 16 years of age, and have a good understanding of written and spoken English. Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as they will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

Learners complete the mandatory units and at least 30 credits from the awarding body’s optional unit bank. Choices reflect the learner’s workplace role.
How you will learn
You will be taught 1 day a week for the duration of the course (9-12 months).
Assessment
You will be assessed through direct observation of your performance in a health and social care setting by the assessor, with both written and oral questioning. This will include general work, personal statements and/or reflective statements, professional discussion, authentic statements and witness testimony, making up your coursework and portfolio.
Work placement
Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as they will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
